BVT Surface Fleet Ltd is the proposed surface warship building and support joint venture between BAE Systems and VT Group. With an estimated annual turnover in excess of £1 billion and employing over 7,000 people, the company is set to be the biggest shipbuilder in the UK and will play a significant role in detail design and construction of the CVF. Alan Johnston, the Chief Executive Designate of BVT, will speak to members about how the company is being set up, plans for the company and will give an overview of some of the key programmes and projects the company will be involved in.
