AVEVA software supports the world's marine, oil & gas, power and process industries with comprehensive solutions for the design, construction and lifetime support of all types of facilities.  

This five day training course will show how to recreate all engineering / shipbuilding piping specifications in an AVEVA Plant Design format, including any additional piping components. The course is aimed at Piping Designers / Engineers with Plant or Marine Piping Design skills, and will enable delegates to: 

  • Create a Component Category and a component
  • Create Point sets and Geometry sets
  • Create General text, Detail text and Material text
  • Create / Modify a specification using Catview
  • Create an new specification using Specon
  • Understand the AVEVA coding system
  • Use IPARAMS, Design data Parameters and Design DB Parameters
  • Create a Dataset and use in Design
  • Create a Catalogue Specification for Nozzles
  • Create a connection compatibility table and element
  • Create a bolt set, bolt p-points and set the boltref on the catalogue components
  • Create a property and set it in the specification
  • Initiate a database consistency check
  • Create the weld requirements in the catalogue and modify the specification to suit
  • Set the naming formats and representation rules for your company.
